Super Sound Machine ("we," "our," or "the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be processed when you use the App, how information is used, and your rights regarding your data.
We designed the App to minimize unnecessary data collection and to process sensitive information locally on your device whenever possible.
Information We Collect
iCloud Data
If iCloud syncing is enabled on your device, your sound profiles, timers, settings, and related App data may be stored in your personal iCloud account to sync across your Apple devices.
This data is stored within your Apple iCloud account and is governed by Apple's privacy and security practices.
Health Data
With your permission, the App may access sleep-related data from Apple HealthKit for the purpose of displaying sleep analysis, trends, charts, comparisons, and related wellness insights.
The App:
- Only reads sleep-related Health data that you authorize
- Does not write data to Apple Health
- Does not store Health data on external servers
- Processes Health data locally on your device
We do not use Health data for advertising purposes and do not sell Health data to third parties.
Shared Profiles
The App may allow you to share sound profiles using files or shareable links.
Shared profiles are intended to contain sound configuration information only and are not designed to include personal information.
If you choose to share a profile, anyone with access to the shared link or file may be able to access that profile configuration.
Technical and Diagnostic Information
The App may rely on Apple services and third-party infrastructure providers to support functionality such as:
- App Store purchases
- iCloud syncing
- Universal links
- Sound Profile sharing
- Crash diagnostics
- Network connectivity
As part of operating these services, third-party providers may process limited technical information such as IP addresses, device type, operating system version, timestamps, request metadata, and crash information.
We do not operate our own advertising platform and do not knowingly collect personally identifiable analytics data for advertising purposes.
How We Use Information
We use information solely to operate and improve the App's functionality, including:
- Providing sound playback and timer features
- Syncing profiles and settings through iCloud
- Generating sleep analysis and wellness insights
- Enabling profile sharing
- Supporting purchases and subscriptions
- Maintaining App stability, reliability, and security
Sleep analysis and wellness insights are provided for informational and relaxation purposes only and are not medical advice.
Third-Party Services
The App may use or rely on the following third-party services:
- Apple iCloud
- Apple HealthKit
- Apple StoreKit
- Apple diagnostic and crash reporting services
- Cloud infrastructure and networking providers used for universal links and profile sharing
Your use of certain App features may also be subject to Apple's terms, privacy policies, and related third-party policies.
Data Retention and Deletion
Most App data is stored locally on your device or within your personal iCloud account.
You may delete App data at any time using the "Reset All Data" option within the App or by uninstalling the App.
Health data accessed through Apple Health remains under your control through Apple Health and your device settings.
We do not maintain separate external databases containing your Health data.
Children's Privacy
The App is suitable for users ages 9 and older.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without appropriate parental consent. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us so we can address the issue.
Security
We take reasonable measures to help protect information processed by the App.
Health data is accessed only with your permission and is processed locally on your device. Payment information is handled directly by Apple. iCloud data is protected according to Apple's security systems and policies.
However, no software, internet transmission, or third-party platform can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location and applicable laws, you may have rights regarding your information, including the ability to:
- Revoke HealthKit permissions through device settings
- Disable iCloud syncing
- Delete App data
- Uninstall the App
- Contact us with privacy-related questions
Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If material changes are made, the updated policy will be posted within the App or through other reasonable means.
Continued use of the App after updates become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
